Overnight cruises depart from different locations depending on your destination and booked departure point. If you’ve decided to drive yourself to Milford Sound then it’s important to check the road conditions before setting off. In summer you likely won’t have any problems, but in winter things are different. The summer months (December to February) are the busiest season which means if you are driving there yourself, you will need to be patient in order to find parking if you arrive after 10 am. If you’re parking, I’d plan to allot 45 min – 1 hour to park, walk to the meeting point, and board the cruise.
